Jo Grant was played by Katie Manning, who will tell you herself she is as mad as a box of frogs!  She is also charming, irrepressible, kind and absolutely lovely! Meeting her was such a very great honour for me as she accompanied the Third Doctor who I always think of as 'My' Doctor.  All the lads had a thing for Jo Grant as she was a real fashion icon and very beautiful.  I have made her in one of my favourites outfits of hers and when I gave her, her little character she said it was one of her favourites too, but she hated the boots which had been plain white until she painted the red lines on them herself! Jo is a junior civilian operative for UNIT who is assigned to the Doctor as his assistant. She was his companion from 71 to 73 and appeared in 77 episodes.
