| Geordi started off life on the Enterprise as a helmsman but rapidly became the Chief Engineer. He was born blind and uses a visor which allows him to 'see'. Geordi's character is hardworking, loyal and intelligent with a keen wit and warm understanding. He and Data are close friends. |
