Our Eighth Doctor was Paul McGann who, sadly only had one on screen appearance in the film 'Doctor Who'  It was hoped that the film would regenerate (see what I did there), interest in the cancelled TV show and bring it back to our screens. Although this was unsuccessful at the time Paul went on to have over 70 audio dramas.  His potrayal of the Doctor was passionate and enthusiastic and I wish we could have seen more of him on screen.
