Matt Smith's Doctor was similar to Tennants in as much as they both had boundless energy and enthusiasm, but they were very different too. Eleven was quick tempered but compassionate, and had a world weary aspect to his personality which reflected back to Ecclestons Ninth Doctor.  Matt Smith was our Doctor from April 2010 to December 2013. He appeared in 44 episodes over 3 seasons.
